You will be joining Group IT - a team of around 20 people across IT disciplines. Within Group IT, you will be part of the Business Central & Applications team of 5, responsible for BC development and ERP transformation across hummel, including our ongoing Cloud migration. You will work closely with business stakeholders, finance and logistics teams, and colleagues across Group IT - including an IT Business Consultant at our Distribution Center in Padborg. Reporting directly to Team Lead, Business Central & Applications.

THE ROLE 💥

hummel is in the middle of a significant transformation of its ERP landscape - and the move to Business Central Cloud is well underway. We are looking for a Business Central Developer who wants to be part of that journey and help shape it. You will be close to the business, contributing technically and challenging how we design and build solutions, in a broad landscape that spans Azure, Datahub and automated warehousing across multiple countries. 

YOU PLAYING FIELD ⚽

• Actively contribute to our ongoing Business Central Cloud migration - bringing your experience and challenging the solution design to ensure a stable and well-structured transition
• Develop modern solutions and extensions in AL, taking ownership of your deliverables from design through to implementation
• Work with integrations and APIs across our broader technology landscape, including connections to Azure and Datahub
• Use AI actively in your development work - whether for coding, debugging, code reviews, documentation or getting up to speed on an existing codebase
• Help define how we work with development, automation and AI going forward - this is a team that is actively shaping its own ways of working

YOU BRING 🦾

• Solid experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and AL development - ideally including hands-on involvement in a migration from NAV or Business Central on-premises to Cloud
• Practical experience with AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude or ChatGPT in a development context - you use them to write better code, not just faster code
• A good understanding of integrations, APIs and the architecture around Business Central - and the ability to balance pragmatic near-term solutions with a sound long-term technical direction
• A genuine curiosity for new technology and the initiative to try things out - you share what works, and you enjoy pushing the team’s ways of working forward. Experience with Azure (Functions, Logic Apps) or DevOps/GitHub is a plus, but not a requirement
