As Buyer, you’ll become part of our Kids & Sportswear team – a team of around 15 dedicated colleagues with diverse backgrounds in buying, design and product development. 
We play on the team that has the most fun – and we always play offense! For us, it’s all about taking initiative, supporting each other, and celebrating both the small and big wins. In Kids & Sportswear, we are responsible for the hummel Group’s kids and sportswear business and we work closely with our colleagues in sales logistics and warehouse as well as our suppliers and merchandisers.
 

More About the Role and Your Responsibilities

As a Buyer, you’ll be responsible for securing the products in the right time within hummel Kids, playing a key role in delivering impactful results – both for our team and our customers:

• Responsible for placing and following up on purchase orders, ensuring correct prices, quantities and delivery dates
• Daily coordination and dialogue with suppliers and merchandisers on costing, samples, production and deliveries
• Collaboration with design, product development and merchandising to ensure commercial collections with the right suppliers and deliveries
• Follow-up on order status and delays, and analyses of purchasing data to support good decisions and continuous improvements
   

How to Make the Team

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about their field and a true team player. You take responsibility, thrive in collaboration, and are curious about how we can continuously improve – together.

To succeed in the role, we expect that you:

• Have experience with buying or sourcing within fashion, sportswear or textiles, ideally including ERP systems and Excel
• Are structured, proactive and detail-oriented and thrive on getting things done
• Are motivated by an environment with high pace, deadlines and close cross-functional collaboration
• Communicate fluently in English
• Hold a relevant commercial education, e.g., within purchasing, supply chain or business– but most importantly, you have the courage and desire to learn and grow
• Possibly have experience from an international company and from working with suppliers in Asia and/or Europe, where you've learned to navigate across cultures and disciplines
